TEDtalks

The AntiChris was kind enough to forward some links to me the other day, one of which was for TED blog. TED blog is, not so suprisingly, the blog for TED, about which Wikipedia has the following to say:

TED (short for Technology Entertainment Design) is an annual conference [founded by Richard Saul Wurman in 1984] in Monterey, California that describes itself as a global community of remarkable people and remarkable ideas. Its content is extremely broad, including science, art, business, global issues, architecture, music, and comedy. Speakers are a "who's who" of luminaries from a variety of communities.

Two of this year's most inspirational talks were given by Rick Warren, of Purpose-Driven Life fame and Cameron Sinclair, the author/editor of Design Like You Give a Damn.

I've said before that I don't think much of The Purpose-Driven Life, for many reasons, but I was very much impressed by what Warren had to say about the use of affluence and influence.

You can grab the video or .mp3 of either: Rick Warren on TEDTalks and TEDPrize winner Cameron Sinclair on TEDTalks

Both are highly recommended.
