My conclusion was that the studio execs wanted to target the Jewish/Christian/Secular audience in one swoop and make a bundle of cash. I wasn't impressed with the "miracles when you believe" theme. It worked better for Cinderella.
I could have also done without the theme song, the Mariah Carey/Whitney Houston duet, and the accompanying music video (God-awful!).
