While drinking my coffee this morning, I turned on the radio and on a whim tuned to WDCX (99.5). Insight for Living with Chuck Swindoll was on. The program was almost over, but I did catch him speaking on Proverbs 24:3,4:

3 By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
4 through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures.

He went on to say that verse four tells us that every room in our houses will be filled with precious and pleasant memories - memories that turn our houses into homes. Such a wonderful thing to strive for.

If you're interested, you can hear today's broadcast here: Insight for Living - Today's Broadcast. You will need either RealPlayer or Windows Media Player to hear it.

This song was sung at my parents' wedding; it comes to mind now.

Love Will Be Our Home
Sandi Patti

If home is really where the heart is
Then home must be a place we all can share
For even with our differences, our hearts are much the same
And where love is we come together there

Wherever there is laughter ringing
Someone smiling, someone dreaming
We can live together there
Love will be our home
Where there are children singing
Where a tender heart is beating
We can live together there
Love will be our home

With love our hearts can be a family
And hope can bring this family face to face
And though we may be far apart our hearts can be as one
When love brings us together in one place

Wherever there is laughter ringing
Someone smiling, someone dreaming
We can live together there
Love will be our home
Where there are words of kindness spoken
Where a vow is never broken
We can live together there
Love will be our home
