let it snow?
Tuesday, November 25 at 3:03 p.m.
So, the first real snow fall of the season has arrived. And, from the looks of it, will soon be leaving. I think it rather appropriate considering that Christmas is only one month away. Any inklings of what you'll be asking Santa for this year? I think I've been reasonably good, so maybe he'll bring me what I've asked for.

I always greet the first snowfall with mixed emotions. It does look rather nice from inside, but if you're the person who has to spend the rest of the season clearing it away, "Let it Snow!" will probably not flit past your lips.

Anyway, I have much work to do, so I will now return to my books.

Does anyone want to go skating this year? I think it's about time all of you learned.

Let It Snow!
Sammy Cahn, Jule Styne

Oh, the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

It doesn't show signs of stopping,
And I brought some corn for popping;
The lights are turned way down low,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

When we finally say good night,
How I'll hate going out in the storm;
But if you really hold me tight,
All the way home I'll be warm.

The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing,
But as long as you love me so.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
