So there's a loophole in the law. But allowing 'others' to copy your
CDs was NOT the INTENT of the law. The law is there to allow you to
make backup copies of your own stuff. The law certainly was not
written to let one Canadian buy a CD and the other 29,999,999 of us
make copies of it for ourselves.
Forget about the record companies. When you copy CDs or download
music, you are depriving the artists/bands the royalties with which
they feed their children and drug habits.
Don't steal music.
